Part of the package The Beauty and Cosmetics Shop sent me for review were a couple of beauty masks...which I actually did not know how to use. xD The instructions at the back of these masks were in Korean so I had to do a quick search for instructions.
Luckily, you can find some instructions at Sasa.
The first one I tried was the Vitamin A Velvet Mask.
This was supposed to be a hypoallergenic mask that treats damaged skin. I have a feeling that this is for mature people because of how supermoist it felt on my skin. Plus the words "inelastic, depleted & damaged skin" seem to be some sort of clue.
All you need to do is apply to cleansed face for 10-15 minutes then rinse. I wasn't quite sure if I should rinse thoroughly but my face felt very moist even after rinsing.
The second one I tried, around two days after, was the Vitamin C Velvet Mask. I believe this is what definitely matches my skin because I'm so pigmented (I have had numerous moles everywhere even as a kid), I sometimes wish I could erase the surface of my skin. I also kind of feel like my skin is getting dull.
Instructions for this particular mask is different from the previous one. You keep this on the skin for 20-30 minutes. Then, after removing the mask, you're supposed to press/massage gently on the skin so that it absorbs the medicated moisture. It doesn't say on Sasa if I should rinse or not so I didn't.
This was how I looked like with a mask on.
Scary.
So I only took one photo since the masks look the same anyway. Haha.
For this second mask, I wasn't sure if I should moisturize or not but I did feel some tightening in my skin even though it was supple to the touch. After much pondering, I decided to apply Human Nature Sunflower Beauty Oil before hitting the sack.
I can't say if there's any visible effect or not. I heard you need to do this five times in a month to get visible results. I also happen to be a very hydrated person (3.5-4 liters of water intake a day and I have oily skin for someone who's only a few years away from 40) so results may vary.
These BRTC Velvet Masks are available at The Beauty and Cosmetics Shop.
